Small and medium businesses (SMBs) can easily implement rich, reliable communications solutions using the new iPECS-MG voice platform announced today by LG-Nortel at the ITEXPO East 2010 in Miami.
LG-Nortel has provided customized telephony solutions to the SMB market segment for many years. The iPECS-MG continues this tradition, building on field-proven technologies and architecture to satisfy core SMB priorities including simplification, flexibility, efficiency, convergence, compatibility, and environmental responsibility.
The iPECS-MG is highly versatile, supporting both legacy voice systems and the latest IP-based telephony solution, with simplified installation and Web-based management. This lets users manage it as a cost-effective telephony solution that protects SMBs’ investments while allowing them to seamlessly move to a unified communication environment that utilizes iPECS applications in an IP environment. The iPECS-MG also helps SMBs reduce their environmental impact and minimize running costs, with control over user devices allowing power to be turned off for up to 16 hours a day.
“LG-Nortel’s new iPECS-MG communication solution adopts future-ready technology in a standards-based architecture leveraging decades of experience with world class communications equipment,” said JD An, vice president of Enterprise Solutions with LG-Nortel. “Providing seamless integration across LG-Nortel’s SMB solution portfolio, the iPECS-MG offers a simple solution to help SMBs build a future-proof converged communications environment.”
The iPECS-MG is available in two configurations with common hardware components and software addressing from 30 to 300 users (on a maximum of 414 TDM/IP ports). Expansion and signaling can be done cost-effectively thanks to built in functionality such as a click-to-call capability from MS Outlook or other TAPI-based applications; four-channel Auto-Attendant or VoIP, and all the necessary signaling including CID, DTMF, CPT, Message-Wait, Rings for SLT, and more.
LG-Nortel is demonstrating its iPECS-MG, alongside its entire portfolio of voice and data solutions, at IT EXPO (http://www.tmcnet.com/voip/conference/) East 2010, to be held from 20-22 January in Miami, USA.
